$35: Adopt a School

You can provide one Orleans Parish school with Paper Monuments curriculum so youth can learn about complex and incredible histories of New Orleans. We’ve worked with classroom teachers to develop an adaptive class curriculum, with PowerPoint, teachers guide and public proposal workshop. Field tested in over 25 classrooms and youth programs, we need your help to reach more kids!

Adopt a School donors will be recognized on Paper Monuments’ website and receive one Paper Monuments poster as a free gift.

$75: Sponsor a School Visit

You can send the Paper Monuments team into one school to teach the curriculum to teachers and staff or guide an assembly for the student body. Our team of educators, designers, and artists is equipped to work with schools to adapt the focus of a larger scale workshop for adult or student needs, school, neighborhood or other thematic approaches to explore public space, public memorials, and New Orleans histories.

Sponsor a School Visit donors will be recognized on Paper Monuments’ website and receive two Paper Monuments posters as a free gift.

$150: Adopt a Writer

You can adopt a Paper Monuments poster writer and support some of our region’s most talented authors who are helping us bring New Orleans’ public history to life. Throughout the Paper Monuments process, we’ve worked to ensure that those authors who aren’t formally working within academia or the media are paid for their essays. We need your help to keep expanding that circle of voices who are sharing our City’s histories!

Adopt a Writer donors will be recognized on Paper Monuments’ website and in The Paper Trail, and receive three Paper Monuments posters autographed by the authors and a collection of Paper Monuments postcards as a free gift.

$250: Adopt a Poster Artist

You can adopt a Paper Monuments poster artist and support the incredible artists who create the images for the posters. We know that visual art isn’t always the first thought that comes to mind when we talk about New Orleans, and the vibrant local arts scene is, like much of the cultural community often underpaid. We’re dedicated to employing as many local artists as possible and paying them fairly for their work, while spreading the word that this should be the norm, not the exception!

Adopt a Poster Artist donors will be recognized on Paper Monuments’ website and in The Paper Trail, and receive three Paper Monuments posters autographed by the artists and a collection of Paper Monuments postcards as a free gift.

$500: Print Run

You can provide for one full print run of one poster and help Paper Monuments keep our smaller scale storytelling available to all. One full print run creates 500 posters about a person, place, movement or event missing or erased from New Orleans’ mainstream narratives. All of our 12x18 inch posters are distributed for free throughout New Orleans at public libraries, independent bookstores, and community recreation centers.

Print Run donors will be recognized on Paper Monuments’ website and in The Paper Trail, and receive one copy of all issues of The Paper Trail to date, a customized pack of three posters, and a collection of Paper Monuments postcards as a free gift.

$1,000: Hit the Presses

You can provide printing for one full issue of Paper Trail, Paper Monuments bimonthly newspaper. Paper Trail offers detail and explanation of the Paper Monuments process, highlights posters and select public proposals, and offers a guide to upcoming events, locations for pick up, and a reading list from Community Book Center’s Jennifer Turner. One issue circulates 5,000 copies throughout New Orleans.

Hit the Presses donors will be recognized on Paper Monuments’ website and in The Paper Trail, and receive one copy of all issues of The Paper Trail to date, a customized pack of five posters, and a collection of Paper Monuments postcards as a free gift.

$1,500: Hit the Streets

You can provide for one large-scale Paper Monuments poster installation in a public space or along a prominent street. Paper Monuments works hard to ensure that the histories we’re telling are truly accessible to all New Orleanians by wheatpasting large scale poster installations at key public transit exchanges and major pedestrian thoroughfares. We need your help to scale up and reach everyone!

Hit the Streets donors will be recognized on the Paper Monuments website and in The Paper Trail, receive one copy of all issues to date of Paper Trail, a customized pack of five posters, and one Paper Monuments t-shirt as a free gift.

$5,000: Adopt a Monument

You can support Re:Present; Phase II of Paper Monuments by sponsoring one of a city-wide series of temporary art installations on display March to May 2019. We’ve worked with ten local artists to support their development of temporary three-dimensional monuments that reflect key themes from hundreds of public proposals. There are so many more artists and so many more stories to tell, help us expand the scale of this next phase of the Paper Monuments process into more neighborhoods across the city!

Adopt a Monument donors will be recognized on the Paper Monuments website and in The Paper Trail, receive one copy of all issues to date of Paper Trail, a customized pack of ten posters, and one Paper Monuments t-shirt as a free gift.
